Terms of Service.

These terms govern your use of Wend, the phone-to-Mac dispatcher for Claude Code, during its alpha. Wend is operated by Agnij Dutta. By installing the Mac app or using the phone app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Wend.

Alpha software, free, provided as is

Wend is early software offered free of charge during a private alpha. It is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. It may contain defects, may change, and may be interrupted or withdrawn at any time. Do not rely on it for anything you cannot afford to lose.

What Wend does

You write a note on your phone. Your Mac runs Claude Code in your own local repository, which Wend detects, and streams the result back to the note. The work happens on your machine, under the permissions you have already granted Claude Code. Wend does not run your code on its own servers.

You are responsible for AI-generated actions in your systems

Wend passes your notes to Claude Code on your Mac. Claude Code runs under the permissions you have already configured for it on your machine — Wend grants it no powers of its own and adds no separate approval step. You are responsible for the actions Claude Code takes in your repositories, files, and systems as a result — including any code it changes, commands it runs, or data it touches. Configure Claude Code's permissions to match your risk tolerance, keep backups, and use version control. Wend is a dispatcher, not a reviewer of what you choose to run.

Your account and devices

Accounts are handled through Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account and your paired devices secure and for all activity under your account. You can unlink a device at any time from the app, which deletes its pairing record.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Wend to break the law, to gain unauthorized access to systems or data, to infringe others' rights, to distribute malware, to attack or overload our infrastructure or Anthropic's, or to reverse-engineer, resell, or wrap the service beyond what the law permits. Your use of Claude Code remains subject to Anthropic's terms, and your use of GitHub remains subject to GitHub's terms.

Your content and code stay yours

Your notes, prompts, code, files, and results are yours. They are generated and stored on your own Mac, with a local copy on your phone. Wend claims no ownership of them and does not retain their content on its servers.

No payments during the alpha

Wend is free during the alpha. No payment method is collected and nothing is billed. Paid plans may be introduced later; if they are, pricing and terms will be shown before you are ever charged, and you will only be charged if you actively choose a paid plan.

Third-party services

Wend depends on third-party services, including Clerk, Cloudflare, Expo, Vercel, Neon, GitHub, and Anthropic's Claude Code. We are not responsible for those services' availability, performance, or acts, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Wend at any time and unlink your devices. We may suspend or terminate access, in whole or in part, if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other users. We may also discontinue the alpha at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wend and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, code, work, or profit, arising from your use of the alpha. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to Wend during the free alpha is limited to USD 100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wend and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, the actions you approve Claude Code to take, or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute relating to them or to Wend is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Changes

These terms may change as the product matures. Material changes will be reflected here and, where we can, communicated to you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Effective date above; last updated 1 July 2026.
